Black Friday

On Friday morning, before we braved the Black Friday crowds, Daddy took Cecilia over to the school to play on the playground. I joined them later and it was a perfect time for some good pictures of Cecilia playing. Note, it is the end of November and she was warm enough in short-sleeves. :)

Cecilia loves trying to use these steps to climb up to the slide. However, she is just too little and ends up climbing over each one until she gets stuck straddling the 3rd one. But she does try just about every time we are at the school. :)

Here is Cecilia near those "steps" again. I had just gotten her unstuck, but she was trying again.

The other favorite picture. We see this expression a lot, she is a very joyful little girl. However, she is also very adventurous. Just after I took this picture, Cecilia stood up and proceeded to lean forward on the steps, which caused her to do a somersault on the steps. Thankfully I was right there to keep her from hitting her head too hard. It did really scare her though. Hopefully we will not be repeating that anytime soon!!

No trip to the school is complete without a stop at the water fountain for some "wa wa", as Cecilia calls it. :)

Thanksgiving

On Thursday, we hosted Thanksgiving for Alan and Gaoder, Andy and Enno. We had a lot of food, but not all (in fact, not much of it) was "traditional" Thanksgiving fare. However we had a lot of fun and the food was delicious! :)

Here you can see the cheese lasagna and sausage lasagna I made using Sue's recipe (which was great), the veggie egg rolls Gaoder made in the front and spicy pumpkin soup Enno brought, twice-baked potatoes, and bacon stuffing in the back. Oh, and lots of clementines in the fruit bowl. Cecilia, we discovered, is a clementine fiend!

Not pictured above were the pumpkin and butternut squash pies that we had for dessert. All in all, a great Thanksgiving!

Getting all cozy in her chair

Last night, Cecilia was all cozy in her chair while watching Sesame
Street. She was sitting in her comfy chair, had a blanket wrapped all
around her, her lamb in her arms, and Elmo on the TV. What more could
a girl ask for? :)

Cecilia loves the mural!

Cecilia loves the mural at the school across the street. It is made
with all sorts of shells and rocks and other things she can touch.

Fall in California comes late

But it's still beautiful!

We are at our hotel in Arizona letting Cecilia burn off some energy after a flight, car ride, and lunch.
