Yesterday, Cecilia had sweet potatoes for the first time. She was a
little unsure of whether she liked them or not, but ate a fair amount.
Today, Cecilia was still making faces and eating slowly, but she must
have liked them because she ate about 2 oz. of them!

Janie and Phyllis visited
We've been pretty slow about updating the blog lately, but Aunt Janie and Phyllis visited a couple weekends ago! We had cake, had a delicious Italian meal, saw Santa Clara University, and spent a bunch of time with little Cecilia, who appreciated the company.
We're really glad they could visit! Laura and Cecilia are going to reciprocate in a few weeks - they are headed to North Carolina for a week.

A visit to P.F. Chang's
Today, after a trip to the farmer's market and Target, we ate lunch at
P.F. Chang's. Cecilia is getting very squirmy and hard to hold,
because she is so curious and interested in everything.

Very happy!
On Friday, Cecilia was very happy sitting in her Bumbo chair after she ate. She loves playing with her feet and just smiling at Mommy and Daddy now.
Oatmeal cereal
Cecilia has also tried oatmeal cereal. She was hesitant the first time
she had it, but now is very excited to eat it. She seems to get as
much in her face as in her mouth though.

6-month shots
On the 20th, Cecilia went in for her 6-month check up. She is doing
very well and at about the 50th percentile in weight and the 90th in
height. Unfortunately, she also had to get her 6-month shots. She had
3 shots and an oral vaccine. Afterwards she was very cuddly and fussy.
She also slept for 9 hours that night, ate, and slept another 3 1/2
hours. Apparently the shots took a lot out of her.

6-month birthday
Here is Cecilia on her 6-month birthday. She was very happy and
playful when she first woke up. This may have been because she had
slept 7 hours the night before.

Final Tomatoes
Well, the tomato plant is on its last legs. In fact, I think it's time to take down the garden entirely. Here is the final tomato harvest: not bad!
Rice cereal
We are a little behind in posting to the blog, so I'm going to try to
get us updated.

Here is Cecilia after eating her rice cereal. At first, she didn't
really know if she liked it, but soon she was diving forward to get
more. You can see how much she likes it in these pictures.

Fallen branch
Good thing nobody was on the sidewalk when this huge pine branch fell from the tree outside our apartment!

Disassembling Laura's Monitor
Laura had a nearly 5yo Dell 1905FP that kicked the bucket last night. I think it's the power supply since the display doesn't even come on anymore. I'm hoping it's just a capacitor so I can fix it.

Today we went to Half Moon Bay, on the Pacific Coast, just about directly west of us with Curtis, Rebecca, Rusty, and Julie.

We started out with a walk on the coastal trail. Cecilia was in the sun in her stroller, so we tried out some sunglasses. She tolerated them for a while, and then decided they were better to chew on.
Later we went down to the beach. Mommy and Daddy decided that Cecilia should put her feet in the Pacific since she had already been in the Atlantic. Cecilia was unsure about whether she liked having her feet on the sand...
...and understandably pulled her feet up out of the water. It was a chilly 58 degrees in the water today! Turns out that Cecilia doesn't like the Pacific anymore than she liked the Atlantic.
After we tried the water, Daddy held Cecilia all wrapped up in her blanket as the fog had rolled in and it had gotten very chilly!
After a nice dinner at the Half Moon Bay Brewing Company, we headed back to Sunnyvale. All in all, a great day with friends!

All scrunched up
After Cecilia's nap today, I found her all scrunched up on the bottom
of the swing. It didn't look comfortable, but she was very happy.

IMVU's 900+ servers are all hosted in Oakland. We're going to get a tour but unfortunately I can't take any pictures on the inside.

Paella and Tapas at Cascal
A pile of us went to Cascal, a Spanish-style restaurant, for lunch today. The food was numerous and awesome, and the bill was pretty awesome in its own way. Luckily there were a bunch of us to split it!
