Santa Maria BBQ

There is a kind of BBQ I recently learned about. It originates in Southern California cowboy culture, and it's called Santa Maria BBQ. It goes like this: tri-tip steak, cooked on a flame, pinquinto beans (not pinto beans, more related to pink beans) cooked with tomatoes and peppers and bacon and all that, and a big slab of garlic bread.

Well, my company for Christmas gave out spice boxes with lots of premixed spices, and one was for tri-tip and garlic bread, so we had a Santa Maria BBQ night!

Baby You Can Chive My Car

For Christmas I got the Bob's Burgers cookbook and Laura and I made this one for dinner a while back.

The fried pickles were amazing!

Go Fish!

Lucas climbs now

With him pushing chairs around, he can now reach anything... I saw him getting silverware out of the drawer earlier today.

Some notes the kids left for me at work :)

Friday night homemade bread!

The one on the left has an olive oil glaze, which is why it's browner.

Both are delicious. :)

Grant'a first Final Fantasy

It is the first Final Fantasy game. He actually tried it longer than I expected. But he's still too young to really figure it out.
