Grant's First Tooth

Grant got his first tooth this week. Here's a photo Gregg took for us
showing Grant's new tooth.

Our kids adore each other

Rides for Toys

This morning, we went to Toys'R'Us in Sunnyvale to take part in Rides
for Toys. The Sunnyvale DPS was giving rides on the fire trucks in
exchange for toy donations for Sunnyvale Community Services. And
parents got to ride with any child under 10. On the way in, Cecilia
got a junior firefighter badge, then she and Daddy got to ride in the
front of the fire truck while they went around the block with the
lights going. Cecilia was very excited about riding the fire truck,
and also seemed happy to give the little doll we donated to "a little
girl that has no toys". I think Chad was equally excited to ride in
the fire truck and even said that he thought about going to buy and
donate another toy just so he could take Cecilia for another ride!
Grant and I stayed back in the parking lot since he was too little
this year. Maybe next year we can join Cecilia and Daddy!!

She's fallen three times in the tub so far. Once she even landed with her neck on the edge of the tub and her neck, clavicle, and knee turned red. Didn't faze her at all...

She fell right after this picture in fact.

Christmas Lights Display

Laura found a house that had an animated Christmas light display, replete with local FM station and 20 minutes of programming.  o_O

Peanut Butter Apples

I introduced Cecilia to peanut butter apple slices tonight and when asked if she liked them she said "YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!"

The two of us polished off three apples and half a jar of peanut butter. :)

Also Laura made roasted acorn squash with butter and maple syrup.

The rain cleared up so went to the park and ran into the Marleys. Cecilia and Shayla spent the entire hour running back and forth in this big puddle on the trail.

They were soaked up to their waists and when we took Cecilia's boots off, Laura poured water out of them as if they were a pitcher.

Grant Eating Oranges

Cecilia and I were sharing a VERY SOUR orange from our tree, and I figured I would offer Grant a tiny piece of pulp.

He cringed and grimaced but then he slowly turned towards me and his face went :D :D :D :D :D :D.

And he stared at me, smiling, until I gave him another piece.  Then his back started arching in the bumbo and his arms swung in pinwheels.

Of course, by the time we got the camera out, he'd calmed down and stopped smiling.
