On September 5th, we got a chance to go to a fire station in Santa Clara with the other moms and kids from Cecilia's Las Madres group. Cecilia and Grant both had a lot of fun seeing and climbing on and in the fire truck!

Preschool Picnic and Get-to-Know You Event
On September 4, Cecilia and I went to her preschool for a special picnic and get-to-know you event. She loved getting to see and play at preschool and as you can see loves playing with all of the dress-up clothes!

First Day of Preschool
Today was Cecilia's first day of preschool! She was a little nervous about going without me, but also really excited to get started! She had a great first day and is eager to go back again on Wednesday!
Cecilia was very excited to wear her new "school clothes" and to get to wear her backpack with Lamby inside to preschool.
I am going to make a tradition of taking a picture on the first day and the last day of the school year so that we can see how much Cecilia (and later Grant when he is going to school) has grown throughout the year.
I am also going to make a tradition of having the kids write their name so that we can see how that skill progresses through the year(s) too. Cecilia was very confused as to why I asked her to write her name and hold it up for the picture today though.
Mommy, can we go yet? I don't want any more pictures!
