Cecilia Learns to Ride a Bike!

Grant's been using Shayla's old balance bike for a while, and we finally took the training wheels and pedals off of Cecilia's bike.

I had been trying to teach Cecilia how to bike by saying "lean into the fall" and stuff, but it wasn't doing anything.  However, when I went to the park with the kids the other day, I saw how well both of them were balancing.

I told the kids "go up on that hill and ride down it without touching your feet to the ground".  They both could!  So we put the pedals on Cecilia's bike and she took off on her own!

Balance bikes really do work!

We also think Grant is ready for a real bike so we're going to see if we can do that.

Visit with the Austins

We started our visit to Iowa at the Austins' house. Here are some photos and videos from that week.

Auntie Megan had a concert on 12/20 in Iowa City. Cecilia, Lucas, Grandma Peanut and I were able to go watch the concert and we all had a good time.

 On 12/21/15, the kids made some candy Christmas trees. They had a lot of fun and made some delicious trees!

Lucas really does take a lot of harassment from his older siblings.
