Raina Maureen Zhillu Austin

On April 16th, Gaoder and Alan welcomed Raina Maureen Zhilu Austin into our family. She was born via C-section and was 8 lbs 5 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Here are some early photos and videos of Raina!

In the waiting area, there is a gigantic hippo statue that the kids had a blast climbing on while Aunt Gaoder fed Raina.

Cecilia also tried out one of the sleeping chairs in the waiting area.

Fire Truck and Police Car event at the library

On April 15th, we went to a special event at the Library. They brought a fire truck and a police car for the kids to look at and take photos with. It was a nice event and the kids really enjoyed it, although the head librarian running it was a little annoying. She kept yelling at the kids when they wanted to walk around the fire truck and didn't want them to go to look at the police car at all (which kind of defeats the purpose of the event...). Once she went back inside the library, things went much more smoothly though. 

Grant was really excited to take a photo with a "real firefighter"!

He also got to take a photo with a "real police officer"!

Cecilia enjoyed getting to see the police car up close.

Grant loved getting to sit in the police car! (I just noticed the rifle behind him when I was uploading these photos...)

Zoey was exhausted every night after the kids went to bed. She is apparently not used to running with/from/after kids all day! 

These two decided that they wanted to hold hands in the car on 4/14/15.

Grant wanted to write a thank you note on 4/14/15. Notice that he is also wearing Cecilia's shoes here.

On 4/15/15, we took some In-and-Out to Uncle Alan at the hospital. While Grandma Peanut took it up to him, the kids had a little picnic with their food in the back of the car.

The kids were both crying for no real reason here and needed to be comforted by Mommy.
